The article deals with the factors for strengthening bee families. The process of the change of hibernating bees in a bee - hive is analysed. The correlation among the strength of the bee family, the nutrition used in winter and the winter dropout of bees is emphasized. The problems of the intensive growing of bee families and the consumption of nutriment depending on the bee family's weight are delineated
