Weed distribution in Belarus has been established on the basis of weed infestation records carried out in agricultural crops. The frequency of weed occurence and the amount of weeds have been determined, and a map of zonal weed distribution has been made. According to the obtained data the territory of the country has been divided into three agroclimatic zones (Northern, Southern and Central). The Central zone has two subzones - Western and Eastern. It has been established that there is not any essential difference in the character of weed distribution and the composition of weed species in the zones. The harmful effect of weeds depends on rainfall air temperature and agrotechnical practice in crop growing
