The main purpose of the conference was to review the accomplished and presently conducted research on legumes. The plenary lectures were delivered presenting the state and perspectives of research in some essential branches of breeding and cultivating legumes as well as using seeds in human and animal nutrition. Next papers and reports on investigation results were given - cultivation of legumes in pure stand and in mixtures, seed production and protection of legume plants
