Changes in sheep milk quality during lactation

In milk of ewes of Tsigai (C) and Improved Valachian (ZV) breeds we determined content of fat, proteins, fat-free dry matter (BTS), titrable acidity (SH), somatic cell counts (PSB) and counts of Staphylococcus aureus (St.aureus) during the whole lactation period. Content of fat on average was 7.98 %, protein 5.21 % and BTS 11.05 %. SH was 10.24 on average, counts of Staphylococcus aureus 1.0 x 103 x ml-1 and PSB 638 thousand x per ml. The effect of the control milk measuring was statistically significant at a content of fat, proteins, BTS, SH and PSB (P less than 0.001)
