Influence of the technical parameters of presses on oil extractability

The work deals with the mutual relationship among performance, yield and specific energy consumption necessary for the pressing of one kilogram of edible vegetable oil. These parameters are influenced by physical-chemical properties of oil seeds, fat content in the primary material and the press construction. Through the adjustment of several technical parameters of the press, a variant is sought at which the highest performance, yield and oil quality is obtained with the lowest possible energy consumption.
