Polyploid induction of three mulberry (Morus sp.) varieties Noi, Khunpai and Yai Burirum was obtained from colchicine treatment by soaking aseptic mulberry nodes in 0.02-0.1 % colchicine added with 2 % DMSO solution for 2-5 days. Tetraploid plants are characterized by thick and dark green leaves, increased in stomata size and number of stomatal chloroplast, reduced in frequency of stomata per unit area. The chromosome number of their root tip cells was 2n = 4x = 56. Classification study showed that mulberry varieties Noi and Yai Burirum were staminate plants whereas Khunpai was pistillate plant. The classification of the plants by identifying their characteristics must be investigated such as branch color, structure and color of bud, shape of lenticel, color of infant leave, feature of leave and size of idioblast. Chromosome study indicated that the chromosome number of three varieties were 2n = 2x = 28.
