In the paper is represented longterm of maintenance, utilization and improvement of forest tree genetic resources in State Enterprise "Srbijasume" (Yugoslavia). The aim is better utilization of genetic potentials of most important tree species in production of timber and improvement of biostability of forest ecosystems, in addition to maintenance of present biodiversity.
