[Conservation of autochthonous breeds of poultry in Vojvodina [Serbia, Yugoslavia]]

The paper deals with the problem of identification of autochthonous breeds of poultry and detection of some particular types among them. It is based on autochthonous breeds which were able to preserve the characteristics of domestic poultry, and which can be found in Vojvodina district (Serbia, Yugoslavia). These breeds of chickens are Serbian Naked Neck and Sombor Crested, and among the geeses: Sombor goose. Phenotypic and physiological characteristics and the possibilities for the genetic resources conservations are discussed.
