In this thesis it has been studied the effect of high levels of copper in a combination with molybdenum and sulphur, in a sulphate form, on the performances of broiler chickens, carcass quality, accumulation of copper in the body tissues, and the rate of its exclusion in regular time intervals. Adding a copper in broilers feed showed a positive effect on their performances, in particular when combined with molybdenum and sulphur. Higher daily gain, better feed efficiency and reduced accumulation of copper in the tissues has been recorded. Accumulation of copper in the tissues of broiler chickens, during the test period, was considerably lower comparing to the other species. Elimination of copper from the liver, where normally the highest concentration of copper is found, showed that after ten days its concentration in all experimental groups was within normal physiological levels.
