The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of plant extracts, prepared in two concentrations, on Sitophilus oryzae L. The plant extracts of Taraxacum officinale Web. (Asteraceae), Sambucus nigra L. (Sambucaceae), Juglans regia L. (Juglandaceae) and Urtica dioica L. (Urticaceae) with concentration 100 per cent, were prepared by method of percolation (Ph.Yug.4) with ethanol 70 vol . The ratio of plant material and extract was 1:1. The other extracts were prepared by diluting the first one with ethanol 70 vol to concentration of 30 per cent. The results of study showed plant extracts of Taraxacum officinale Web. and Urtica dioica L. expressing insecticidal effects, but plant extracts of Sambucus nigra L. and Juglans regia L. do not express that effect.
