This is the respectivly survey on results of the laboratory testing for anthrax of specimens from domestic ruminants, pigs, deers and roes (a total number = 27,803) and humans (n = 62). Data indicate that in 30 settlements of the region a total of 64 samples from cattle (n = 16), goats (n = 9), sheep (n = 7), pigs (n = 2) and humans (n = 28) have been positive for anthrax. Relatively the highest morbidity is established in goats. Sporadic anthrax with marked summer seasonality are typical in the area. In humans the clinical from of the disease is light skin anthrax without epidemic outbreaks. There is a correlation between the intensity of the epizootic process in animals and the increase of morbidity in humans.
