The trials were carried out on sandy loam soil. The purpose of the experiment was to determine the most suitable time for white mustard sowing and the seeding rate. According to the data of three years the best crops were gathered when sowed in early spring as soon as it is possible to enter the field, using 15-21 kg/ha. The amount of the crops varied within 0.84-0.87 t/ha. The mustard sowed in early spring grew the biggest number of pods (63.3 and 66.0), and matured the biggest number of seeds (4.5).
