Efficacy test of different fungicides on the prevention of mulberry leaf rust (Aecedium mori) for cocoon production

The efficacy of fungicides Dithane M45, Manzineb, Captan, Benlate, and Saprol on the prevention of mulberry leaf rust (Aecedium mori) for cocoon production was conducted from November 1991 to November 1994. Saprol fungicide recorded the longest onset of infection after spraying, the lowest percentage of infection, and the least number of rust pustules per leaf when it was sprayed on the mulberry plants and was found most effective in the prevention of mulberry leaf rust. Higher level of application specific for the prevention/control of leaf rust in mulberry need to be studied
