The effect of Temik 10G was investigated on cotton cultivar CIM-70, short statured and early maturing variety during 1992 and 1993 crop seasons. Three treatments of 10% granular Temik were applied at the time of sowing, at the time of Ist irrigation and at the time of sowing and Ist irrigation. One treatment was kept as untreated check for comparison. The granules reduced the attack of sucking pests compared with untreated (check). Those treatments which received granules at two times, sowing + Ist irrigation and granules with Ist irrigation proved significantly better than adding granules at sowing time. The variety CIM-70, responded to the application of granules. There was better growth and more number of bolls in the plots where granules were added with Ist irrigation. There was no effect on crop maturity. The application of granules with Ist irrigation gave higher yield than at sowing time.
