Two nematode parasites identified Oesophagostomum curvatum Maplestone, 1931 and Strongyloides papillosus (Wedl, 1856) Ransom, 1911 were recovered at necropsy from Calamian deer, Cervus (axis) calamianensis. These are described and figured based on the Philippine materials. This is the first record on the occurrence of O. curvatum and S. papillosus in the calamian deer, and of the former species in the Philippines constituting a new host and locality records, respectively for the species. The importance of considering parasitic infections in any conservation effort, most especially in captive breeding program, where animals are kept in confinement, is discussed
