Plant Genetic Resources activities were initiated 25 years ago in Pakistan when rice was the target crop to save its domesticated land races from extinction. During these years 41 expedition teams have collected 16000 accessions of major and underutilized crops. The germplasm of 22 underutilizerd crops, collected from different areas of the country is reported.
