Nest canals of 2-3 mm diameter were settled most often by Hylaeus pictipes, H. brevicornis, and H. sinuatus; nest canals of 3-4 mm - by H. punctatus, H. signatus, H. hyalinatus, H. punctulatissimus and H. communis; but nest canals of 4-5 mm - by H. difformis. The average number of larval cells in a nest were as follows: 7.7 for H. pictipes, 6.0 for H. punctulatissimus, 5.0 for H. brevicornis, 4.7 for H. communis, 2.5 for H. punctatus and H. sinuatus. The average length of a larval cell came to about 8 mm for H. brevicornis and 6-7 mm for all other species. Fromes were also compiled the nesting sites of another 18 species of Hylaeus, based on the available literature
