The effect of cultivation and fertilization techniques on level and some qualitative features of potato yield was studied. Bed tillage with 2- and 3-plant rows in a bed and an autumn tillage with ridge formation were compared to ridge planting at row spacing 70, 75, 90 cm. Near-root application of the cattle origin biohumus and foliar nutrition were compared to traditional manuring supplemented with NPK. Yielding, percentage of usable tubers, nitrate content, damages and greening of the tubers were evaluated. Either, fertilization, cultivation and year of experiment significantly affected all tested traits; an effect of potato cultivar on the tuber damage index and nitrate content was also noted
