Effect of biological preservation additives on proteolysis and content of diamines in alfalfa silage

In a laboratory experiment it was demonstrated that the composition of crude proteins can be inhibited by an increase in the DM content and by means of preservatives. At a low DM content, the lowest decomposition of crude protein was observed after the application of formic acid. The biological preparation Bactozyme also reduced the decomposition of crude protein. The contents of individual biogenous amines decreased in dependence on the degree of wilting (i.e. on the content of DM in silage) and after the application of preservatives
