The control of chlorosis in mandarine orange orchards in the Aegean Region of Turkey by applying iron compounds to soil and leaves

In a fifteen years, old mandarine orchard with Fe-chlorosis, a study was made of the application to soil and leaves of Sequestren 138 Fe, Nervanaid-Fe, Ferriplex and FeSO4 7H2O. The leaf content of total and active Fe was taken as a measure of fertilizer efficiency. Application to the soil of the various Fe-compounds led to an increase of total Fe-content in the leaves, there being no differences between the trials.
