For the purpose of implementing a high quality and more productive assortment of wine grapes in the Nis vineyard subregion (Serbia, Yugoslavia), a four-year study of the Vracanski Muscat cultivar was also carried out. Agroecological conditions to grow this cultivar in the Nis subregion are favourable. Botanical description of the cultivar shows that a cultivar from the ecological and geographical group of the Black Sea basin (convarietes pontica subcon varietes georgica) is in question. The phenophases development is favourable this vineyard district. The grapes yield of 16.27 t/ha is exceptionally good, while the sugar content of 22.1% and acidity of 7.05 g/l show that high quality and top Muscat wines can be produced from this cultivar. As for the mechanical grapes and berries composition, it is a wine cultivar of high juice rendement. After the wine chemical composition and its organoleptic characteristics study, an opinion on further growing of this cultivar can be given.
