[Macrozoobenthos fauna in the middle and low Berezina River]

197 species and forms of macrozoobenthos were found in the middle and low flow of Berezina River, Belarus. The most diverse were chironomid larvae (77 species and forms), then liches and snails. Three species of Caspic fauna (Caspiobdella fadejevi, Corophium curvispinum, Dreissena polymorpha) were found in the river. The number of species decreases from 90 to 57 and from 50 to 39 in the metropolitan area of Borisov and Bobruisk. The most sensitive to pollution were mayflies and Simuliidae
