The technology of virus-disease eradication of seed potato initial material that was created in the Research Center EVIKA consists of many stages: 1. selection of initial material for eradication; 2. thermotherapy of plants; 3. cultivation of meristem tips; 4. testing on virus infection; 5. re-eradication; 6. selecting basic meristem clones for seed production; 7. renewal of basic material. The disease-free and selected meristem clones are preserved in test-tubes in vitro. The disease-free seed material will get re-infected in the field and the quality will fall down. The agrotechnical mistakes and ignoring the isolation demands will hasten the decrease of quality. To make a better use of the yielding capacity of disease-free material it is necessary to multiply it rapidly and avoid re-infection. The cheaper is propagation and growing process of disease-free material the shorter can be seed potato production system
