The ovipositional behaviour of the greenhouse whitelfy (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) on its host-plant, the shrub-shaped cherry tomatoes was studied in a no-choice bioassay where these plants were externally treated with the water extracts of five other plant species. The number of eggs layed on host-plant treated with extracts of Tanacetum vulgare, Ledum palustre and Melissa officinalis was aversely 4.2, 0.9 and 0.6 respectively while the number of eggs on control plant was 9.8. Thus the extracts of named three plants were potent inhibitors for the feeding and oviposition of greenhouse whitefly. The extract from Dracocephalum moldavicum, on the contrary, was attractive for whitefly
