Body measurement (height at withers, HW; chest girth and chest depth, CG, CD; slanting body length, SBL; length of rump for muscularity, LRM; muscularity of rump, MR; scrotal circumference, SC; body condition score, BSC, respectively) of Charlois male calves (n=83) were taken after weaning. Analysing the correlations of body weight, age and body measurements we concluded that the body measurements had a great effect on BW (e.g.: BW vs. CD: r=0.73; BW vs. SBL: r=0.80, P0.001).
