The surface disinfection methods in the field of greenhouses and plant biotechnology laboratories are reviewed. The first part summarizes different groups of disinfectants, their chemical, physical properties and biological effects. The second part contains recommendations for application technologies in case of different pathogen groups considering technological, economical, toxicological and other view-points.
