Standpoints on the selection of geese populations for prolificacy

This study shows on an example how to estimate the number of families necessary in case of different production level of population at the start of selection and, in different selection intensity. There are also discussed the effects of factors on the genetic progress in selection for prolificacy. The expected genetic progress is estimatated in different situation.
