In these days only such growing techniques can be recommended as make plant growers competitive on European markets. In respect of melon growing the prerequisites of such competitiveness are: high quality, early maturing, melon size meeting the demands of the market(2-4 kg, 4-6 kg), and production of melons which can be marketed till late autumn.
