[Study on fading resistance of silk fibers by the acid colors]

The research on examining the fading resistance of some colored natural silk fibers has been carried out. The materials for tests were silk fibers produced by the weavers and some test fibers which had been colored by acid processes by three kinds of acid colors, namely Erionyl Red B 200 percent, Solophenyl Yellow 5 GL 182 percent and Erionyl Brill Blue L 200 percent. The results showed that the fading resistances of the silk fibers dyed by the acid colors generally high, indicated by the color change parameter of 4 to 5 the Gray Scale
