Trial was conducted in Segunung Ornamental Research Station (1100 m above sea level) from December 1995 until December 1996. The aim of this experiment was to know the effect of kinds of animal manures and doses on growth and flower production of Polianthes tuberosa L. The experiment used split plot design with three replications, kinds of animal manures (chicken, sheep, horse, and cow) as mainplot and doses (0, 100, 200, and 300 g/polybag/6 months) as subplot. Result showed that there was no interaction between kinds of animal manures and doses in all variables observed. Kinds of animal manures did not affect all variables observed. All variables, except stalk length and flower number per rachis, were affected by manure doses. Plant height of 35.1 cm, shoots number of 1.9/hill/year, canopy area of 41.1 cm2, rachis length of 21.1 cm were obtained by applying 300 g manures/polybag twice a year. Whereas, maximum number of open flowers was 13.2 flower/rachis, and the highest flower production was 2.9 stalks/hill/year that was obtained by applying 200 g manures/polybag twice a year
