Ultrasonography 1: Development of ovarian follicles in Boer goats superovulated with pFSH containing 40 percent pLH

英语. Response of oestrus in Boer goats and development of ovarian follicle to superovulatory treatment were studied. All goats (n=17) received subcutaneous progesterone ear implant for 11 days to synchronize oestrus cycle. Forty eight hours before implant removal and the following 3 days, 16 AU pFSH containing 40 percent pLH was injected 6 times (4.4; 2.2; 2.2) in 12 h intervals. Goats received PGF2 alpha twice synchronized with FSH treatments to induce luteolysis (5 mg PGF 2 alpha of each) 24 h after implant removal. Animals were checked for oestrus with an aproned bulk 3 times a day. During standing oestrus animals were naturally mated 2 or 3 times. Follicular development and ovulation were monitored 2 times a day using transrectal ultrasonography equipped with a 7.5 MHz linear-array transducer. This evaluation began from the time of implant removal until 48 h after the end of oestrus. Eighty eight percent of animal showed oestrus with mean of the onset of oestrus 33 h after implant removal and oestrus duration of 30 h. Eighty two percent of does had corpora lutea with number of 11.0 and persistent follicles of 2.1 at laparoscopic examination on day 6 after the end of oestrus. The maximum number of follicles with diameter same as or more than 2 mm recorded at the observation of 36 and 48 h after implant removal, whereas those with same as or more than 6 mm in diameter were 48-60 h. The number of follicles with diameter 2-3 mm and 4-5 mm during observation period were constant. The ovulation of follicles did not occur spontaneously but they ovulated in several periods. The pFSH + 40 percent pLH preparation yielded a sufficient result for superovulation means in Boer goats. For monitoring the response of ovaries to the superovulatory treatment, ultrasonography was a simple and effective method

印度尼西亚. Perkembangan folikel 17 ekor kambing Boer setelah diberi perlakuan superovulasi diamati dalam penelitian ini. Siklus berahi diserempakkan dengan menyisipkan implan yang mengandung gestagen di bawah kulit telinga selama 11 hari. Kambing disuperovulasi dengan 16 AU pFSH yang mengandung 40 persen pLH yang terbagi dalam enam kali penyuntikan. Perlakuan dilakukan tiga hari berturut-turut dengan selang waktu 12 jam (4,4; 2,2; 2,2) yang dimulai dari 48 jam sebelum pelepasan implan. Dua kali penyuntikan masing-masing 5 mg PGF2 alpha untuk induksi berahi diberikan bersamaan dengan pemberian pFSH ke 5 dan 6. Pengenalan berahi diamati selama tiga kali sehari yang dilakukan mulai dari 24 jam setelah pelepasan implan dan ternak yang berahi dikawinkan dengan pejantan sebanyak dua sampai tiga kali. Pengamatan perkembangan folikel dilakukan mulai saat pelepasan implan sampai 48 jam setelah berahi menggunakan peralatan ultrasonografi transrektal dengan transduser linear-array 7,5 MHz. Dari hasil pengamatan diperoleh hasil 88 persen kambing menunjukkan berahi. Berahi muncul 33 jam setelah pelepasan implan dengan lama berahi 30 jam. Hasil pengamatan laparoskopi pada hari ke-6 dari akhir berahi menunjukkan 82 persen kambing memiliki korpus luteum dengan rataan korpus luteum sebanyak 11,0 folikel dan folikel tetap sebanyak 2,1 folikel. Jumlah maksimum folikel berdiameter lebih dari atau sama dengan 2 mm teramati pada selang waktu pengamatan antara 36 dan 48 jam setelah pelepasan implan dan folikel yang berdiameter lebih dari atau sama dengan 6 mm teramati pada selang waktu pengamatan antara 48-60 jam. Jumlah folikel yang berdiameter 2-3 mm dan 4-5 mm selama pengamatan adalah tetap. Ovulasi pada kambing yang disuperovulasi tidak terjadi secara spontan, namun terjadi dalam beberapa periode.
