[Efficiency of field bean meal in the diets for fattening pigs]

A trial was carried out to determine the efficiency of fiels bean meal in the diets for growing-finishing pigs. The trial results indicated that the replacement of soybean and sunflower oil-meal with 10-20 and 15-25 field bean meal in the diets of pigs in, respectively, the first (under 60 kg weight) and the second (over 60 kg weight) fattening stage had no significant influence on the growth rate of pigs. There were no significant changes in the nutrient digestibility, and the carcass quality and physicochemical indicators for meat and fat were almost the same as those for control pigs.
