The use of multiple regression analysis for field experiments in horticulture

The method of the multiple regression analysis was useful in long term field experiments when a great number of data - yield records, measurements of vegetative growth, the data of soil and plant analysis - were obtained. For split-plot designs both the multiple regression analysis and the variance analysis had to be applied simultaneously. Several details and examples from our experiments are presented.
