Genotypic and phenotypic correlation analysis was performed to determine the inter-dependence of different seed cotton yield traits and contribution of these traits to economic yield. The results revealed that number of bolls per plant. boll weight, number of seeds per book and ginning out turn percentage having positive and significant genotypic and phenotypic correlations with yield of seed cotton. Number of bolls per plant had negative and significant genotypic and phenotypic correlation with ginning out turn percentage. These results suggested that the selection for a promising genotype may be accomplished with an optimistic compromise between number of bolls per plant. boll weight, number of seeds per boll and ginning out turn percentage.
