Provincial Inspectorate for Environment Protection in Wroclaw has been carrying on investigation into the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in the water of rivers in the Wroclaw province since 1993. The paper presents results of investigations carried out in the period 1993-97. The programme of measurements comprised six PAH compounds and 23 control points on six rivers
