Natural conditions and mechanization potential in family farms

The farms selected for the analysis were located in 37 provinces in different regions of Poland. The research data were gathered in 77 family farms in the years 1992-93. The paper does not specify any significant relationship between the quality of conditions for farming and mechanization potential. The farms which were divided into the groups according to the mechanization potential, operated in relatively similar natural conditions for farming. However in the area groups and when evaluating particular characteristics of the natural environment, some variations observed were relatively significant.
