This paper includes a study of the Damascus plain in view to determine the quantity and the quality of the available water for domestic consumption. Previous studies and natural conditions were indicated as well as topography, climate, and soil conditions. The study contains the geological situation and the hydrogeology of Damascus plain where aquifers and groundwater layers were discussed. At the end, hydrodynamic and isotopic specifications together with the quality of the water were determined.
