Six hundred lines of lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) germplasm were screened against rust (Uromyces fabae (Pers.) de Bary) in natural epiphytotic conditions. None of the lines were free from infection; however, 17 lines were resistant to rust disease. These preliminary results now need reconfirmation
