Cadmuim accumulation in sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum)

Application of Desulfovibrio desulfuricans bacteria to the cadmium contaminated soils resulted in decreasing of cadmium content in fruits by 38.66%. Application of water diluted bacteria (1:100) influenced quality of fruits by reduction of cadmium content about 24.85. Increasing of pH soil on the value pH=7.5 in comparison with variant contaminated by Cd resulted in decreasing of Cd content in fruits by 25.06%. Significant differences of cadmium content between variants were by analysis of variance observed (table VI). Important role of bacteria in transforming of heavy metals and one from the possibilities of elimination of Cd intake by fruit was demonstrated and proved by the results presented above
