This study was conducted out, between the years of 1996 and 1998 to determine the best Cornelian cherry types in Bolu, Zonguldak, Karabuk and Berlin provinces in flora and farmer's orchards. Flowering periods and flower characteristics of the types were observed and found as different. In order to select the best types, yield, fruit weight and size, kernel weight and size, flesh/stone percentage fruit shape, fruit skin and flesh colour, pedicel length, soluble solid content, total sugar, vitamin C and tannin content, acid percentage were measured. As three years average, fruit weights changed between 1.02 to 4.07 g, fruit diameters were 9.46-16.42 mm. Fruit lengths were measured between 14-09 to 23.51 mm and fruit/stone percentage was calculated between 2.79-7.25 %
