The aim of this study is to develope standart variety from the population of "Corbaci" pepper in 1982-1987. The method of reserve seed preservation in single plant selection was used in this study. Morphological and pomological characteristics and yield were observed during the selection. The number 12 was selected for the highest yield and the best characteristics. The standart variety of Corbaci population was named and registered as "Yalova Corbaci 12". The yield per decare is about 4-4,5 tons. In the light of above characteristics Yalova Corbaci 12 variety has been found to be suitable for fresh market and pickling industry for local and foreign markets
