Determination of virus and virus-like diseases of lemon in Eastern Mediterranean region

The plants that show virus and virus like diseases symptoms were tested by biological and serological assays. Psorosis virus complex, concave gum, crinkly leaf type and infectious variegation viruses and exocortis viroid were determined by biological assays. In addition, the symptoms caused by rumple, multiple sprouting and sieve tube necrosis diseases and vein enation- Woody gall virus disease were observed on the lemon trees in the field. Impietratura virus disease symptom, gum spots in fruit albedo, were observed on the fruits collected form packing houses and filed. Spiroplasma citri Saglio et.. al.., tristeza and tatter leaf were not detected by ELISA and indexing on the collected samples from different areas
