Ittidet Chaimongkol
Most effective compound was SB-707, Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki serotype 3a, 3b, which is now being marketed under the trade name Delfin. Resistant factor of LC50 (RF) of each tested Bt was varied depending on the different selection pressure at the various locations. According to this the most effective Bt could be selected to apply in each location base on the lowest resistant factor of LC50. Current application of bacterial insecticides in vegetables still retain their potential for DBM control in various locations in Thailand. However, rotation applications, frequency of spraying and mixing with other chemical insecticides could be useful and could be introduced into the integrated diamondback moth management program.
