The nutrient status of the olive trees grown in Icel province

This survey was conducted for assessing the nutrient status of Sari, Ulak, Yerli Yaglik and Ayvalik olive orchards in the Icel province of Turkey. In this study; 21 Sari Ulak orchards, 15 Yerli Yaglik and 14 Ayvalik were selected and leaf and soil samples were collected. The soils were suitable for growing olives according to physical and chemical properties. There were, however, difference between sampled areas in terms of nutrients levels of soils as a result of different fertiliser applications by farmers
