[Species of the genus Galanthus L. (Amaryllidaceae) in nature and culture of Ukraine]

In the thesis focussed on investigating the Galanthus genus in Ukraine's flora, based on the results of a 5-year study of cenopopulations of 3 species in natural conditions, chorological and ecologo-phytocenotical characteristics of the species studied are reported. The up-to-date state of the Galanthus species cenopopulations in Ukraine is appraised. The results summarirized of introducing the Galanthus spp. in the country, the degrees of its successiveness are determined. Special features of the snowdrops development are examined. The comparative analysis of the ontogenesis of seven snowdrop species is made. Proposals on the rational use of the species studied are developed. Reasons for reduction in the number of snowdrops species are revealed. A system of protective measures is worked out
