We examined the effect of microbiological fertilizers (NS Nitragin and strain Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. viciae D1) and various doses of nitrogen fertilizers (15, 30 and 45 kg of N/ha) on the total number of bacteria and dehydrogenase activity in the rhizospheric soil of forage pea, Moravac variety. The activity of nitrogen fixation was determined upon the number of nodules and dry matter mass of the plant. The experiment was carried out in the field. The highest number of bacteria was in the variant with NS Nitragin. The use of mineral fertilizers increased the number of bacteria as well. The activity of dehydrogenase was similar in all variants. The highest number of nodules was in the flowering phase. Concerning the variants that were examined, the highest number of nodules was in the variant with NS Nitragin. In the same variant, the greatest dry matter mass of the plant was obtained.
