The paper deals with the phosphorus and potassium status in fields on the territory of the Agricultural Stations at Backa Topola, Vrsac, Novi Sad, Sremska Mitrovica and AIC "Becej" Becej (Serbia, Yugoslavia), in the last two cycles of analyses. The analyses included 58,162 ha of arable land or 11,632 samples taken within the framework of the Soil Fertility Control System. The results obtained show that, in some cases, there occurred both positive and negative fluctuations in the contents of the studied elements. The fluctuations were particularly evident in the case of phosphorus, which prevalently had a decreasing trend. Similar conclusions were drawn for all stations, in consequence to the different fertilization systems employed.
