The effects of increasing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium rates on sugar beet yield and quality were studied in a long-term stationary trial at Rimski Sancevi (near Novi Sad), Serbia (Yugoslavia). Sugar beet were grown in a four-field rotation of sugar beet, maize, sunflower, and wheat. The trial included 20 different fertilization treatments. Single, double, and triple combinations of NPK nutrients were studied and the rates were 50, 100, and 150 kg/ha. The present paper reports the results for the sugar beet variety Dana for the 1996-1998 period.
