Analysis of the forces system acting upon the working parts of the step-scraper unit

The force system acting upon the working parts of the step-scraper unit while removing manure from wide gutters of a manure alley was investigated. To analyse the forces' system using only the analytical methods, proved to be very complicated. An experimental study was carried out. The forces acting upon the scraper were recorded by the strain-gage method and the results of the measurements analysed by PC. Two different scraper types were tested: 1)bearing surface crosswise to the scraper unit bar, 2) bearing surface crosswise to the scraper blade unit.
