Glycine is considered by many investigators to be an essential amino avid for fowl, especially for maximum chick growth.In this shirt review, the roles of glycine were summarised in animal feeding, namely:some biochemical and physiological features of glycine, its role in metabolic regulation, in the uric acid formation, in the protein synthesis, in the biosynthesis and regulation of purine, creatine and cholesterol metabolism.Finally some observations have been written in connection with animal experiments, giving glycine supplementation in the feedstuffs.
